The Department of Agrometeorology and Applied Informatics carryout a wide range of research and utilitarian studies, covering Agrometeorology and biomass production for energy purposes.

Scope of research:

• Development and management of agrometeorological database for modelling plant growth with a consideration of the agricultural space
• Current and long-term forecasting of agricultural yields and assessment of the impacts of climate change
• Management of database of agricultural production space with GIS applications
• Development of Decision Support Systems for plant production
• Assessment of crops production for energy purposes
