Department’s Research Profile:

1. assessment of production and economic effects and the impact on the environment of farms with different intensity and production directions
2. determination of production, economic and natural consequences of specialization and concentration of production
3. assessment of the impact of various agricultural production systems on the environment and the possibilities of their development in individual regions of the country
4. assessment of the state of organic farming in the country, organizational and economic analyses.
5. assessment of the effects and proposals for changes in the Common Agricultural Policy
6. identification of problems related to the process of transformation in agriculture and implementation of strategies within the CAP
7. improvement of the principles of agrotechnics and organization of plant production on organic farms
8. implementation and evaluation of new farming techniques
9. implementation and evaluation of agricultural practices limiting greenhouse gas emissions
10. assessment of the possibilities of production and use of plant raw materials for the production of renewable fuels
11. recognition of the possibilities of organizing biomass production for energy purposes, taking into account different types of farms and methods of biomass management
